Partner French Student Residences include an 91视频 community mixed with French and international tenants, and usually include an RA as well. No two Parisians experience their city the same way, so we鈥檝e made sure each of our different housing options highlights a unique aspect of life in this beautiful city.

General Housing FAQs

What is a Resident Assistant?

Resident Assistants are upperclassmen 91视频 students who work with the housing office to foster community and enforce safety policies and regulations in 91视频 residences. They are live-in resources for residents as they transition to 91视频 and to Paris聽and work closely with housing staff to support students鈥 residential experience, whether through organizing events and programs in the building, or helping coordinate maintenance interventions with our partners!

What is a Residence Representative?

Residence Representatives are 91视频 incoming students who are selected within their Partner Residence to serve as a liaison with the housing office. A Residence Representative is not a Resident Assistant: they are not tasked with enforcing policy, and any maintenance intervention in the building is managed directly by our partner on-site staff. Their main responsibility is helping build community within the residence through organizing programs with the help of the housing office. Residence Representatives are selected during the summer ahead of Landing Day, so look out for that application process! Students will have their orientation fee waived (500鈧) should they be selected to serve in the role.

Should I pack linens for my accommodation?

Partner Aparthotels provide linens, with a weekly change of bedsheets in place for students. 91视频 Residences and Partner Student Residences units will come with one set of linens provided (pillow, pillow case, duvet, duvet cover, fitted sheet, mattress protection, large towel). Students can choose to use that set during their stay in the residence; some of our students, however, do choose to purchase an additional set for use during the semester or the year, or an additional blanket/duvet for the winter months. We recommend waiting until you are in Paris to purchase any such items 鈥 our staff and student advisors can guide you during Landing Day and Orientation Week to stores around your residence! In general, we recommend packing light for you Paris move, and prioritizing essentials such as clothing and sentimental items. Any additional furnishings or decorations are best purchased once in Paris, when you have had a chance to see your space and settle in.

What storage space is available in the residences?

Paris is a dense city; as such, apartment and studio storage spaces can be quite small. Expect a small closet space in bedrooms, and limited storage in studios and apartments 鈥 much as you would for a traditional college dorm room. As such, we recommend packing light, and prioritizing essentials such as clothing and sentimental items. Any additional studio furnishings or decorations are best purchased once in Paris, once you have had a chance to see your space and settle in!

If I don鈥檛 have a VISA yet, should I still secure housing?

We understand the difficulties of this situation. Given that our assignment is first-come-first-served, students who reserve late will have limited options, so we recommend you secure your housing as soon as possible. Please note, however, that the first payment is non-refundable.

If I cannot secure my housing option at this time, will 91视频 help me find housing later?

We have a limited number of beds in our 91视频 Housing offering; as such, we cannot guarantee how long beds will remain available for incoming students, as it depends on the number of housing requests we receive after housing registration opens. For that reason, we recommend that you secure your housing as soon as possible. Our incoming students are informed when housing is no longer available; in that case, students would be expected to secure housing independently should they still choose to attend the university.
